HTE ACADEMY OBJECTIVES

 

This conference, led by HTE founder Dr. Nicole Johnson, aims to offer specialized training and resources to new and experienced DEIA-minded professionals to directly address workplace challenges. Participants will gain the tools and learnings to thrive in their respective industries and join the HTE community, gaining access to ongoing training opportunities, software design and support from HTE staff. Attendees will leave with practical, research-based interpersonal and technical skills, reference materials and customized resources for DEIA workplace problem-solving.

DAY ONE - Thursday Jan 29th, 2026

for Teams and Leaders

 

  • curriculum: exercises and cognitive based therapy techniques, goal setting and measuring success

  • communication techniques: facilitated dialogue, coaching and role-playing

  • embodiment practices: sustainability and resilience coaching during workplace challenges

  • direct care: accountability practices for inequities, facilitation responses to equity needs

  • resources: literature and vocabulary utilized to clarify workplace circumstances and strengthen decision making

​DAY TWO - Friday Jan 30th, 2026

 

(Hard Skills, Systems, Research and Organizational Theory Support) for Leaders/Founders

​​​

  • data-informed resource design: building on the knowledge and skills learnt in day one, gain access to customizable resources

  • technology/software training: access to HTE’s suite of dismantling systemic oppression technologies and customized coaching on implementation

  • practical application: exercises and role-play to practice these technologies within the context of your workplace

We recommend that employees request professional development funding from their organizations to attend. Day 1 is best for professional development and Day 2 is best for systems development. Led by Founder of HTE Dr. Nicole Johnson, HTE staff will share best practices for workplace effectiveness in a variety of topics including systems management, onboarding support, DEIA problem solving and organizational wellness.
