Join general management leaders in a collaborative meeting for strengthening employee wellness and developing inclusive systems in commercial theater with Cultural Senstivity Specialist Ann James and DEI director Nicole Johnson. Supported by DEI professionals at Harriet Tubman Effect, general managers can utilize the facilitated space to navigate workplace issues and engage in problem solving around a variety of topics including recruitment, hiring, supporting company management and policy implementation.

General managers and cultural sensitivity consultants seeking to share best practices and engage in system improvement with diversity, equity and inclusion consultants.

What to expect during this meeting?

During this gathering we seek to unpack issues of recruitment and retention for company managers. Utilizing a curriculum for systems improvement offered by DEI Director Nicole Johnson, participants will unpack the challenges for company managers of color in commercial theater and begin to develop solutions to take back to their workplaces. Harriet Tubman Effect can continue to hold space for conversations and problem solving as needed.

Who developed this initiative?

GMs and DEI professionals in commercial theater have been interested in creating a space for shared learning for the past year and a half. Nicole Johnson, James Hickey and Aaron Lustbader activated this initiative to invite other general management leaders into the conversation. We hope to use this meeting to strengthen our collective impact and care for communities of all backgrounds in commercial theater.

Does it cost anything?
