The Details
Description:
What happens when Black and Asian characters get to be complicated, funny, messy, romantic, powerful—and fully human?
Join us for an informal conversation and hang exploring how Black and Asian characters are written across musicals, television, film, and popular media. We’ll look at character arcs, cultural specificity, representation, and the possibilities for solidarity between our communities—both onstage and off.
Come ready to share a character you love, a storyline that made you think, or a representation you wish you saw more often. No panel. No lecture. Just good conversation, good company, and a little cultural deep-diving.
